Nope! Area rugs, runners, upholstery, whatever you have to drop off can be brought to the shop anytime Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. You might want to call ahead if you have something REALLY heavy and you are going to need multiple people to help you move it, otherwise, bring it on!
Unfortunately we do not repair area rugs at this time.
Yes, please. Vacuuming prior to our arrival ensures your carpets will be that much cleaner when we are finished. We do offer a service called Pre-Vacuuming for an additional charge, if requested.
Swan's has unscented soaps that are safe for all individuals and pets. If you have a sensitive nose and need unscented soap please ask when making your appointment and we will make sure the technician has it stocked in his van on the day of your appointment.
Nope! One of the many great things about our company is that we haul in all of our own clean, fresh water and haul away all of the dirty water when we're finished. We put no stress on your sewer or septic lines. We also dispose of the dirty water in a manner that is safe for the environment.
We have specials that run periodically throughout the year, watch our website for more information on those. In addition, Swan's offers senior discounts and military discounts of 10%. Military discount includes any current or retired service members.
Any large furniture should be moved out of the way prior to us arriving, unless, the cost of moving furniture was included in the cost of your estimate. Otherwise, we are able to clean around most furniture. Helping to move any furniture will be at the technicians discretion.
Our technicians work very hard and truly enjoy doing their best at every job they clean at. If you feel they provided you with excellent customer service, tips are welcome and appreciated.
Our advice is to try and give them 4-6 hours before you walk on them, they will take about 24 hours to dry completely. Of course air flow, time of year, outdoor/indoor temperatures are all going to factor into your dry time.
Payment is due at the time of service. Please plan on paying for your service before our technician leaves your home, unless you have a different payment scenario previously arranged. Our technicians accept cash, checks and charge. (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express)
Swan's has something very similar to online bill pay. We are pleased to offer Square Payment Links. If you are ready to pay your bill we can send you a text link or email link via Square Online and you are able to go through that link to pay.
Swan's appreciates as much notice as possible for canceling or rescheduling your appointment times to another date. There is no charge or fee for doing this at this time.
Our minimum rates vary across the two counties that we service, some of the more common areas are: Whatcom: Bellingham $90, Ferndale $95, Birch Bay/Blaine $115, Semiahmoo $115, Skagit: Burlington/Mt. Vernon $140, Sedro Woolley $140, *some areas have different rates, please call to inquire.
Area rugs are $1.75 a square foot*. *Additional charges may apply if your area rug requires additional cleaning or bathing.
In a clean spray bottle, mix one cup of distilled white vinegar with one cup of water and two teaspoons baking soda. Shake it up to mix the ingredients, and then spray on the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then blot with towels until clean.
Yes! We can inspect for mold; however, we do not assess the mold and tell you what type it is, nor do we treat mold.
